NEW FOR 2019

We are excited to welcome Alice Jarvis to the FASBAT team. Alice will be starting 2 new classes with FASBAT at Cordes Hall, Sunninghill.

Get Up and Dance with Alice, is a fun and friendly dance class for both adlts and children. Each week Alice will be working on a new and different musical theatre or music video routine. The adult class on a Wednesday will be pay as you go and the junior class on a Thursday will be a termly fee. Dancing is so good for the body and soul - do come and join us.

Our Seniors class will be performing a newly written show about Cinderella. The show has been written for us by Chris Towndrow and the story starts with the Prince's Ball!!

March also sees our annual talent show at Cordes Hall. This is definitely one of the most entertaining evenings of the year and always full of surprises.

As Easter is so late this year, this term is going to be very busy. We will be producing shows for the Martist Schools, The Ascot Heath schools and the Cordes Hall classes. More details to follow.

We are very pleased to announce that we will be collabarating again with The Quince Players during their panto run in January of 2018. On Wednesday 17th January 2018 FASBAT will be attending a special workshop with the cast and crew of Tommy Tucker. All pupils are invited to join us for the workshop and then to sit and watch the show. If you would like to join us for the workshop and show then please email us through "contact" on this website. Places are limited so don't delay!!!

We are delighted to be raising money for our 2 charities during the last week of this month. Our adult class will be performing in the production of Jack and His Giant Stalk, written by Chris Towndrow. This prodcution is currently on its run in Guildford by The Guildford Fringe. It is an adult themed show with lots of "carry on" style inuendos. Great fun and a good fund raiser!

With an early Easter this year we have a lot to cram into this term. We will be opening the doors to parents for our last lesson at Ascot Heath Infants and Cranbourne Primary School, with a short presentation and an insight into what happens in class. Ascot Heath Juniors will be busy rehearsing for their annual show and then we have one of the hight lights of the year. Yes, the 2018 FASBAT's Got Talent Show. Can't wait!!!

On Friday April 28th at 7pm the Marist Preparatory School will be performing in TIME. This is the new production for the younger years of the FASBAT pupils. The show takes the audience on a journey from Once Upon a Time all the way through to Star Trek, Back to the Future and Time Warp. The girls will be appearing at Cordes Hall and are all extremely excited.

I really don't know how our pupils do it! Every year the talent show gets better and better and the acts get more inventive. The evening kicked off with the 5-7's 8+ and 11+ classes performing Is This The Way To Amerillo. Swiftly followed by a fantastic clapping routine by the Seniors Class. This routine as been done by Michale Barrymore and more recently Bradley Walsh at the London Palladium. We were to clapping as Riverdance is to dancing. It was a spectacular start to a fabulous show.

The judges this year were Sabrina Capes, an actress and a disney princess, Alex Coppola, an professional actor having just graduated from GSA and Lucan Mills, a rapper who has performed with the likes of Ed Sheeran . They had a very hard task to pick the Most Entertaining Act of the evening but came to their conclusion very quickly. Each judge commented on every act that took part and imparted their expertise and their wisdom.

FASBAT are delighted to have Ella Bird join us this year. ella is a student at UEL and is a student of Urban Dance. Ella has choreographed Carry on Cinders for us and is really looking forward to helping out at this years Talent show. We are delighted to have her on board and gain much from her youthfulness and energy.
The Marist Preparatory School were the first class to perform Around The World in 80 Minutes. The show starts at the Perform Club in central London and takes the audience around the world at breakneck speed hoping to win the prize of a trip to Legoland!!
The pupils played to a full house of family, friends and teachers from the school. They amazed the audience with the can can and wowed them with numbers from Westside Story, The King and I and of course our very British Mary Poppins.
After a successful show the girls will now be working on a performance for their school open day on June 6th.
Over the last year we have taken some of the 11+pupils from Cordes Hall and introduced them to the delights of becoming part of the Production Team. Volunteers from this class have helped backstage on various shows by doing the sound and backstage duties. The pupils have all worked very hard and have learnt a lot of new skills. They have also been wonderful mentors for our younger pupils who they have encouraged and helped before, during and after a show.
Their hard work continues this year and they have already helped with the Marist Preparatory School show and are all set up for the Ascot Heath Junior and Infant School show too.
Luke and Louis, 2 members of our production team having a little bit of fun during one of our juniors classes rehearsals - think its time you phoned home boys!!
We are delighted for our class assistant and choreographer Leo Jarvis who has been accepted into the National Youth Theatre this summer. It is a wonderful achievement. The competition is extremely high and there are so few places for hundred, probably thousands of applicants - well done Leo.
Leo will also be joined by Adreanna Bean. Adreanna is an ex FASBAT pupil who is now studying performing arts at college. Adreanna has been giving up her spare time for us and helping out backstage with all our shows this year. Huge congratulations to Adreanna too.
We would like to welcome Liza Horsefield to our teaching team. Liza has been with for FASBAT for over 10 years but this year has made the transition to class assistant. Liza is working with Alison Ramsden at Cranbourne Primary School and between them they have made a great impression on both pupils and parents by bringing drama to the school. Their first assignment of this school year is to prepare the class for the Christmas Party in December. Can't wait to see what they produce!!
We are delighted, very excited and very proud of Erica Greenshields for getting into RADA. Erica is the lady behind all of our costumes. She is an amaziing wardrobe mistress who designs, alters, creates and makes all of our show costumes. Erica will be studying technical theatre in the first year and costume in her second year. We all wish Erica lots of luck on her new journey and hope that FASBAT will be able to still be part of what she does. This is so very exciting!!!
A wonderful evening was had by all parents, friends and family who came to see the 5-7's and the 8+ classes in their summer show. The pupils all performed their leg warmers off - we were all so very proud of them. The evening was topped off with the annual awards, with the 5-7 class getting medals and the 8+ class receiving their stars depending on how long they have been in that class. Its now time for a well earned rest and we will look forward to seeing everyone in September.
An incredible show by an incredible cast. 25 pupils all put their heart and soul into their end of year show. It was a throughly entertaining evening full of 80's references and songs - just right for the parents to enjoy. The 11+ class also had their awards for the year with more awards than ever being given out for years of commitment and loyalty to FASBAT. Parents, family and friends were all bursting with pride. Such a wonderful way to end our year. We are really looking forward to the new term in September - with lots of new and exciting things happening - watch this space!!
The fantastic 11+ class and the cast of The 80"s Bunch
If anyone would like to order a dvd from one of the shows this past year this is the link to do so

The evening will be an homeage to Victoria Wood and also gives Ruby and Eve an opportunity to perform their own written material.
